Transportation at McCarran:
At McCarran airport, located in Las
Vegas, NV, rental car customer counters are located in the
center of McCarran's baggage claim area. Some off site airport
rental car establishments may be accessed by a bank of free
telephones also located in baggage claim. These care rentals
also provide free hotel pick from your Las Vegas hotel. Las
Vegas Taxicabs can be found outside of the airport on the
east side of the baggage claim. Airport personnel(Brown Shirts)
are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers.
Las Vegas City Bus Services
The city of Las Vegas transportation services
division operates its bus service out of the Downtown Transportation
Center. The city of Las Vegas offers two routes, one in the
downtown area (Fremont Route) and the Senior Neighborhood
Bus Route.
Fares:
You may pay your fare immediately upon boarding (exact change
required). Senior citizens (62+ years), youths (5 to 17 years
of age) and persons with disabilities are charged one-half
of the regular bus fare. Children under five years of age
ride free when accompanied by a responsible person. Fares
or overpayments are non-refundable.

- Senior Citizens (62+ years) $.25
- Youth (5 to 17 years) $0.25

Las Vegas Monorail:
The Las Vegas Monorail is an excellent transportation
choice for Las Vegas visitors. This sleek monorail stretches
from the MGM Grand to the Sahara hotel. People visiting Las
Vegas can enjoy this marvelous means of transportation with
very reasonable rates:
- Single Ride Ticket - $5.00
- 2-Ride Ticket* - Shareable - $9.00
- 10-Ride Ticket* – Shareable - $35.00
- Unlimited One Day Pass – $15.00
Las Vegas Marriage License Information
Steps for getting your Marriage License
in Las Vegas:
- Both the Bride and Groom must go in person
to the Marriage Bureau at the Clark County Clerk’s
Office in Las Vegas to apply for a marriage license.
- After receiving your Las Vegas Marriage
License, your ceremony must be performed by a marriage official.
A Marriage License is good for up to one year.
- You can have a wedding ceremony performed
by a Commissioner of Civil Marriages.
- After your wedding ceremony has been performed,
the marriage official has 10 calendar days to send the marriage
certificate to the Recorder’s Office to be recorded.
- The Las Vegas marriage certificate is recorded
in the evening on the day it is received. Certified copies
are available the next day for purchase. To order a Marriage
Certificate:
- Certified Copies or Marriage Abstracts
are used to provide proof of marriage to social security,
insurance groups, immigration, and motor vehicle departments,
among others
- Foreign countries require certified copies
of marriage certificates in order to register Las Vegas
(Clark County) marriages in their country. Some foreign
countries also require an Apostille in order to register
the marriage. For Apostille information:
(No blood tests nor waiting periods are required
of those wanting to get married in Las Vegas. The legal age
is 18 for men and women (proof of age will be required) and
licensing fees are $55.00.)
